Vedic Meditation can help reduce depression

 

Along with stress, depression is another deeply unpleasant, and sometimes devastating experience that motivates people to learn to meditate.

One of the main reasons why meditation can help with depression is due to a tendancy for the depressive mind indulge in what is called “rumination,” or the endless turning over of thoughts on internal issues and conflict. Because meditation is an inward-turned activity it may give people who are experiencing depression the ability, during meditation to dissolve their rumination.

 

Vedic Meditation gives the Central Nervous System a routine of gaining a deep level of rest and awareness. Following meditation the answers to problems often present themselves and thoughts that plague the mind also lose their grip and fall away.
